Getting your workflow right for you
You will see the words customization, integration, workflow, process quite often on our website simply because most customers who we have sold to, have asked us to integrate or customize, our core products, or some form of our products into their daily way of working.
This is truly where out of the box products deliver to what they were designed to do and where a customized and integrated product does that bit more, taking you from 80% of your needs to greater than 95%.
In our experience the results are often astounding, you actually use the product and find that it just becomes a natural tool that you use. Things work seamlessly the way you expect.
This is often in contrast to a non customized product where you get frustrated with things like, having to "copy and paste" this and that piece of information, "open and close" lots of other external products and services, have to do ten mouse button clicks where one or two are all that should be necessary.
What level of customization is possible?
We are able to customize pretty much any aspect of what we do, using our development foundation - Analytical Studio Framework, which is a very general, analytical development toolbox. For example we have already developed for different customers LogP determinations from LC data, large scale biomarker validation and rapid MRM setup for quantitation of the biomarkers, CLND quantitation for use in peptide quantitation and of course our Substance Screening Workflow. Each of these products run as an Analytical Studio Product, but is 100% customized to the type of work that they are supposed to do.

What does a customized application look like?
When we customize any of our products or create new ones from the ground-up, we only include the functionality that is needed for new workflow. This means that input, output, processing, interface, menus, reports and so on are the ones that are required by the workflow. The reason for taking this approach is that it is significantly easier to use a dedicated product than it is to use a generic product that is packed with lots of functionality that you will never use and only serves to complicate your usage and learning of the software.
Can a customized software be further customized at a later time when additional functionality is needed?
Absolutely yes, we are very willing to support you with any future customization needs that you might have, especially as your workflows are never truly static. Over time things do change and we are here to assist you to stay inline with how you work.
Does a customized application get maintained with version improvements?
Our policy is to continue to develop our core products with major releases every couple of years, and multiple patch releases in-between. We constantly work to update and improve our core functionality and add new workflows and products to those that we have already developed.
Often as part of the core changes, you receive the direct benefits as any core tool that we have used in your customized environment also gets updated.
