SFC USA 2024
The Green Chemistry Group is pleased to announce the return of the SFC USA 2024 conference at the BMS Princeton Pike site in Lawrence Township, NJ on October 23rd --25th, 2024. The conference will begin with a short course taught by experts in the field, followed by two days of oral and poster scientific presentations. Leading vendors of SFC instrumentation and supplies will exhibit their wares, and present numerous vendor workshops. Social events and complimentary lunches will provide excellent opportunities to network with fellow scientists and vendors, and to hear personal updates on the latest advances.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Dr. Eric Lesellier, Emeritus Professor at ICOA in Orléans, France, focuses on supercritical fluids in chromatography and extraction, developing classification systems and applying these techniques to bioactives and cosmetics. He authored 127 publications, five book chapters, and delivered around 100 conference presentations.
- Dr. Kevin A. Schug, Shimadzu Distinguished Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, specializes in separation science, including gas, liquid, and supercritical fluid chromatography, with a focus on using data science for spectral prediction and method development. He holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.
- Dr. Michael Hicks, Associate Principal Scientist at Merck Research Labs, has 25+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research. He specializes in supercritical fluid chromatography and molecule separation methods, with 51 publications, 1900+ citations, and a co-authored book on SFC applications in pharmaceutical R&D.
- Dr. Adelina Voutchkova, Director of Sustainable Development at the American Chemical Society and leader of the ACS Green Chemistry Institute®, specializes in green synthetic methods and toxicological prediction. She has received several awards, including the NSF CAREER award, and holds a Ph.D. from Yale in organometallic chemistry.
